Stay curious, preferably with a camera in hand.

Wandering

…is adventurous, surprising, scary, risky…and yet, delightful.

We should wander more.

When

Until we actually go, when is as much of a constraint as if. Decision making is fraught with obstacles. Understanding how they play off each other is key if we hope to move forward.

What part of our processing is holding us back? Or, serving us to make better decisions?

Ride

It’s probably worth considering who’s doing the hard work for us. Who’s doing some heavy lifting which makes our life better and easier?

Now, flip it. Who are we doing the hard work for? How can we pedal even harder?

How are we making our dent in the universe?

Edge

One of the most important choices we get to make when making something is who to make it for. The second most important is who not to make it for.

Choose an edge. Then, own it. Make it so specific, any copying will be obvious.

Float

This is one of my Substack subscriber only posts. Click here to subscribe and see the prompt and to enjoy these before anyone else sees them.

Thank you for your support.

Old

Old is often misused as a label for something no longer useful. If it’s old, it must be worn out. We should probably just throw it away. Yet, with many things and people, age actually serves it well. Nostalgia, wisdom, uniqueness and patina are all age dependent. The older, the better. Plus, even the old is new to someone.

Dent

Every one of us makes one. Unlike meteors though, we get to make choices which determine the impact. The work we do, the company we keep, the passions we pursue (or don’t)…it all matters. And the even better news…if we don’t like our trajectory, most of the time we have the power to change it.

What dent are we making? Should we change course? Choose wisely.
