Weekly Grab

This is my weekly compilation of photos and prompts. If you’d like to see these delivered daily to your inbox when they’re first released, consider supporting my work with a paid Substack subscription ($5 monthly, only $36 annually). Thanks for following my curiosity journey.

Stay curious, preferably with a camera in hand.

Ready

We know we’re ready when everything on the list is checked. But, what if there’s no list? When is it ready to ship? When is it good enough?

Apart from heart surgery, piloting and the like, ready is highly subjective. Maybe we should focus on the shipping part instead.

Flow

The opposite of still. And, the only way to make progress.

The speed isn’t as important as merely setting things in motion. The only way to create flow is by doing…so, please start.

Together

…is almost always better than apart. Engage, connect and unify seem like best practices for making real progress. Disconnected is a lonely way to go.

Trail

What we choose to leave behind as our marker defines us. Sometimes, it blends in with everything else and makes us virtually invisible. Sometimes, it doesn’t. Choose wisely.

Character

…has little to do when we’re on full display. We’re really defined by how we act when no one is looking.

Shelter

We do our best work when we feel safe. We’re far more likely to take risks and show up as our true selves with our best effort when we’re with people we trust. We’re more likely to receive and offer critique when we know others have our best interest in mind.

Sometimes, we find shelter in isolation. But, most of us need connection in a safe place to really flourish.

Lid

When should we close it? What are we hoping to keep out, or in? What’s more appropriate for the situation, open or closed? What makes it better?

Reflecting back, how many times would it have been better to keep the lid on? Looking forward, how does this fuel better decisions for the future?
