Weekly Grab

This is my weekly compilation of photos and prompts. If you’d like to see these delivered daily to your inbox when they’re first released, consider supporting my work with a paid Substack subscription ($5 monthly, only $36 annually). Thanks for following my curiosity journey.

Stay curious, preferably with a camera.

Straightforward

Greater complexity is useful when developing for precision and requiring expertise. Simplicity works better when we’re seeking maximum usability.

Choose one or the other. Aiming for both just leads to confusion and abandonment.

Randomly Bored

Sometimes, we choose to be bored. We simply prefer to do nothing. But other times, it finds us. What to do with it?

What can we notice when we’re bored? How does boredom serve the noticing? How can we make the most of these opportunities when boredom finds us?

Going

Too much of the same thing, the same surroundings, the same problems, even the same fun eventually leads to a fairly mundane existence. Better then to be headed somewhere…even if we’re not sure where it takes us.

Look

Much of our intention is revealed in how we look at things. But, it’s really challenging to see it for ourselves.

How often is our look congruent with how we are feeling? Worth a look.

Ours

We decide it’s for us because we earned it. We studied for it, worked for it, bared our soul for it. But, the most important work is how to share it.

Possession can be a lonely place. Choose wisely.

Rubble

The discards, leftovers, unusable byproduct. Bad ideas are piled up also.

What can we make of our waste if we do it with intention? Are there any bad ideas? Or, just those which get used to make better ones?

Laundry

What do people to see? More importantly, how do they see us?

And most importantly, who will they see tomorrow?

Everything we hang out there sends a signal, especially when no one is looking.
