Weekly Grab

This is my weekly compilation of photos and prompts. If you’d like to see these delivered daily to your inbox when they’re first released, including some subscriber only exclusives, consider supporting my work with a Substack subscription (also complimentary, but donations welcome). Thanks for following my curiosity journey.

Stay curious, preferably with a camera in hand.

Blur

Life is too important to experience it in a constant state of blur.

How can we slow the pace to bring more of our surroundings into focus and to fully absorb what they have to offer?

Best Use

…is often not what was intended.

How can we incorporate more flexibility into our strategy? How can we see what we can’t see?

Left Behind

A popular fear…not being able to keep up. So, we try harder, do more and chase everyone we perceive to be in front of us. The race is on. And, it’s full throttle. But, at what cost? What special moments have we missed? What connections and memories have we left behind in our hurry to move forward?

Tension

Unreleased, harnessed energy. Used carelessly can be damaging. The alternative is to add some leverage to our situation, where some tension might serve our strategy. Deadlines are a fine example. They cause stress. But used properly, that tension is critical to getting our work shipped.

We have it. Now we just need to decide how to let it go.

On Track

Some things, people and projects are meant to stay on the track. It gives us the order we need to make meaningful progress. But, we also need some off the track poking around, which is where most creativity, innovation and crazy ideas come from.

Curiosity lives off the track. Stay on or venture off? Choose wisely.

Entry

They’re rarely this obvious.

How will someone know it’s okay to approach us, to share their problems and feelings? Which signals can we most improve?

Duty

There are certain things we must do and take responsibility for no matter the circumstances.

We all make promises. Duties are the ones we absolutely must keep.
