Weekly Grab

This is my weekly compilation of photos and prompts. If you’d like to see these delivered daily to your inbox when they’re first released, including some subscriber only exclusives, consider supporting my work with a Substack subscription (also complimentary, but donations welcome). Thanks for following my curiosity journey.

Stay curious, preferably with a camera in hand.

Reflections

See a mirror? It might be worth a look.

Technician

Occasionally, we need someone to help us solve a technical problem. We need someone skilled in making or repairing something to spec. Often, it’s the work we’re not trained to do. Or, perhaps we don’t want to do. It’s also typically buried deep in the project, not sexy and rarely celebrated. In any case, this is where the technician steps in, working behind the scenes to make things function properly.

Who’s helping us through our technical slog? They deserve a tip of the hat.

Unfamiliar

Looking for adventure? Lose yourself. Go somewhere you’ve never been. Better yet, go somewhere you wouldn’t dare to go.

Stay curious.

Art

It’s just water and stone…until it’s not. Someone made some choices, decided something was worth doing and put it into the world. It’s not for everyone. But, that’s the point of art. Where can we find yours?

Now

Just because it doesn’t make sense now, doesn’t mean it didn’t at the time. Yet, while some situations aren’t predictable, many are.

Forethought isn’t as widely a held skill as we would like it to be. Now is too often more important than later.

Shadow

Light reveals a great deal. But, so does its absence. While light allows us to see things as they are, shadows and darkness force our imagination to take over. We fill in the blanks of how believe something might appear.

How can we use the lack of light to better understand our beliefs, fears and creative potential? Is it a hinderance? Or, a tool for discovery?

View

If we’re curious enough, we’re probably willing to first change our view.

Stay curious.
