Weekly Grab

This is my weekly compilation of photos and prompts. If you’d like to see these delivered daily to your inbox when they’re first released, including some subscriber only exclusives, consider supporting my work with a Substack subscription (also complimentary, but donations welcome). Thanks for following my curiosity journey.

Stay curious, preferably with a camera in hand.

Attention

Most of the time, it’s not this obvious when we don’t have someone’s full attention. The distractions are more subtle, invisible even.

What’s one thing we can do differently to improve our communication, especially when we need someone’s undivided attention?

Creativity

Creativity isn’t reserved for the select, gifted few. There’s an artist in all of us. It’s quite possible the only impedance is our mindset. It begins with curiosity and constraints. What happens if what we’re used to, the methods, tools and boundaries of what’s expected from us are released?

Go ahead…take it from here.

Name

What’s in a name? What stories does it hold? What does it say about us? Is it timeless?

Words matter. Choose wisely.

Speed

Rarely is going faster the best solution. Yet, we sure focus on it a lot.

How will going more slowly enhance the experience or improve the outcome?

Gold Standard

If we’re putting something into the world, it might as well be something worth comparing to.

Average might work in the moment. But, legacies are built around high standards.

Tail End

Great leaders know their job isn’t always to be in front. Sometimes, letting others take the lead and following is a more effective strategy. And every once in a while the tail end makes sense too. Or, sitting it out altogether.

Leadership is about choices. And, whether to lead at all might be the most important one.

Lines

How we use them, how we shape them tells a story.

Aggressive, hard, soft, comforting, open, closed, orderly, chaotic.

Like words, lines and shapes matter. Choose wisely.
