Weekly Grab

This is my weekly compilation of photos and prompts. If you’d like to see these delivered daily to your inbox when they’re first released, including some subscriber only exclusives, consider supporting my work with a Substack subscription (also complimentary, but donations welcome). Thanks for following my curiosity journey.

Stay curious, preferably with a camera in hand.

Boredom

It happens, sometimes with intention. But, what can we do with it? What makes boredom useful?

Assorted

Being different doesn’t mean we can’t all play well together. In fact, it’s what makes the game more interesting.

Taller

It’s fun to imagine being taller and all of the luxuries it might afford us. However, height isn’t a worthy goal…because we can’t get better at it. If we can’t improve it, it’s not a skill. And, skills are what we employ to create meaningful and useful advantages. It’s a good use of our time then to focus on something we can actually change. Spending any of it worrying about our natural limits is a distraction.

Being taller isn’t a viable solution. Create another way to get there instead.

Weird

Out of place, strange, unexpected, unique, one-off, interesting…

aren’t we all.

Connection

It’s hard to make much progress without one.

Maintenance

Everything and everyone we depend on requires maintenance to keep going. And, it’s largely up to us to help get it done.

Who can we support and nurture? What can we help maintain today?

Leaps

Many of the big leaps, the moments when we seize the opportunity, aren’t planned. They show up, either by pure chance or more often by creating the circumstances where they are likely to happen. Curiosity plays a big role here. It’s the catalyst which gives chance…a chance.

We can’t hope to go for a ride…unless we want to.
