Weekly Grab
This is my weekly compilation of photos and prompts. If you’d like to see these delivered daily to your inbox when they’re first released, including some subscriber only exclusives, consider supporting my work with a Substack subscription (also complimentary, but donations welcome). Thanks for following my curiosity journey.
Stay curious, preferably with a camera in hand.

Tranquil
Quiet reflection is really helpful for idea flow and problem solving.
Find some space where your mind can wander. Who knows where it might lead.

Direction
Someone needs to be responsible for setting the pace and choosing the direction. Leadership isn’t for everyone. But, it’s also not reserved just for the privileged few. Chemistry, trust and inclusion trump competency most of the time. Finding the right group to serve might be the most important skill of them all.
Someone needs help choosing a path. They might need a person just like you.

Fear
Once we get it out of the way, we make room for more important matters…like learning and curiosity.

Handcrafted
While some handmade items might appear similar, they’re not identical. They can’t be. Otherwise, they wouldn’t be handmade. A close enough inspection reveals the imperfections and differences, albeit slight. And, this is precisely what we’re after. If we wanted perfect, standard and to spec, we’d choose something mass produced. Instead, we’re looking for the only one. It’s why we go to the live show vs. just buying the recording.
As makers, we aren’t perfect. And, neither is our art. Thankfully.

Discard
How we dispose of our excess might be as important what we’re throwing away.
Care can be applied even when no one is looking. And, there’s always someone looking.

DIY
We learn best by doing.
What can we start doing to become better students?

Coffee Culture
A culture is made up of beliefs, obsessions, practices and tiny little acts. It’s a summation of everything we care for and do around here. Sometimes, it shows up in a coffee cup. And, we can tell.
