Lift
The laws of physics are interesting. An airplane flies because it’s able to produce lift, hence the long things attached to the side. But, without airflow they’re useless. So, we need an engine. Both need to work in harmony for the system to work. And, both produce opposing forces as well. One of those unchangeable laws about every action begets an opposite one.
Like the physical world, life, politics, relationships, education and sports all have invisible forces at work. One of these is emotion, which behaves a lot like lift. It can propel us upward. Or, it can bring us down. Our job, just like piloting a plane, is to understand the power of emotion and to manage it accordingly.

Stop Here
What makes something worth stopping for? Which views are worth sharing?
Look up…what do you see? Sometimes, the overlooked can be interesting if we make it so.

Worship
The place doesn’t need to be opulent to be effective. As long as we remember what we’re there for.

Story
What makes a memory a memory? And, what makes a memory stick? What makes a moment more than just a snapshot worth storing for recall?
Stories matter. They make our lives full and interesting. And, they bring otherwise mundane moments to life. Savor the stories and share them if you can.

Reassurance
It’s happening again. We just need to stop and notice.

Star Party
Turns out you need at least two things to throw a star observing party, visibility and community. The gazing conditions are unpredictable and sometimes don’t cooperate. But, the community part is up to us. Just because we can’t achieve what we set out to do, doesn’t mean the journey is a failure. Enjoy the moment.

Above
Sometimes, looking down is useful. It gives us a good vantage point to better understand a situation. But, in some cases our higher position comes with more authority, power and control. The key skill here is to avoid forcing an agenda or manipulation despite being in charge. Instead, we have a better chance to see something even more clearly.
Being higher up doesn’t require us to act that way.
