Creative Choice
Is it really this simple? Surely not. But, it is our choice. No one can stop us…but ourselves.

Upward
Things spiral, sometimes out of our control. But often, we can choose whether to participate. Upward is a good direction to latch onto. The opposite not so much.

Lab
Where do you hone skills, practice a craft, experiment and learn new ways? Where is your safe space for failure? Who’s with you on this journey?
Everyone who creates needs a lab. Where’s yours?

Moldable
The exciting part about starting with something raw, moldable and undefined is the possibility to make it our own, devoid of any preconceived notion of what it should become. The challenge for the artist then is the ability to create as if no-one is looking even when it’s ultimately for someone.

Method
Mostly we’re shown the result, the finished product. We rarely see what’s underneath. How does our appreciation change once we understand method, process and effort?

Smaller Bits
Challenged to solve a problem or make something more manageable? A good strategy is to make some smaller bits. Which tiny actions, habits or parts are needed to reach the goal or improve the bigger thing?

Harmony
Fit is a key component of effective organization. It’s easy to understand when putting things on the shelf. But, it’s a much more challenging concept when crafting ideas or assembling teams of people. Fitting the psychological vs. the physical requires vastly different skills. The goal however remains the same. Create harmony. It’s easy to spot when it shows up…and when it doesn’t.
