Weekly Grab

This is my weekly compilation of photos and prompts. If you’d like to see these delivered daily to your inbox when they’re first released, including some subscriber only exclusives, consider supporting my work with a Substack subscription (also complimentary, but donations welcome). Thanks for following my curiosity journey.

Stay curious, preferably with a camera in hand.

Loyalty

What does loyalty look like? What if we look deeper? What’s the story we’re clinging to, and retelling?

Don’t merely make or do something. Create a story some people really want to hear. And, then make it easy for them to show it off and to find the others.

Nothing

Too many messages can lead to mixed or lost signals. Saying too much is like saying nothing at all. Less might be a better strategy, particularly when we’re trying to get our point across.

Support

There’s virtually no work which occurs solo. We all depend on others to make our dent. Perhaps they live behind the scenes. Or, maybe they’re part of the show. And then, there are those we’re not thinking about, two or three times removed. Who is supporting the support? They deserve a nod too.

Unsure

By definition it’s uncertain, the experiment might not work. Yet, possibility draws us in and keeps us trying, because every once in a while it does work. This doesn’t diminish the tension, the fear and the risk we feel at the outset. But, it does make it worth it. And eventually, we can learn to dance with unsure as opposed to avoiding it.

Seek out possibility, especially when we need to go through unsure to get there.

Aid

Offering our help is one of the most generous acts we can give someone. It’s especially impactful when they need it the most and it’s inconvenient for us.

Who can we help next?

Coming and Going

It’s easy to focus on where we’ve been, what we’ve missed out on and enjoyed. It’s also easy to dream about where we’re headed, who we want to become and what we hope to achieve.

But, what about right now? How are we experiencing this moment?

Idle

What to do with it. Do we fill it? Or, leave it alone? When is time wasted?
