Weekly Grab
This is my weekly compilation of photos and prompts. If you’d like to see these delivered daily to your inbox when they’re first released, including some subscriber only exclusives, consider supporting my work with a Substack subscription (also complimentary, but donations welcome). Thanks for following my curiosity journey.
Stay curious, preferably with a camera in hand.

Underneath
Discovering how things work is a really interesting endeavor. And, the bonus is it can lead to so many unexpected sub discoveries. A good use of time if we approach it with a curious mind.
The same goes for understanding people. And while it’s not as straightforward as simply looking under the cover, a good series of questions will almost always lead us somewhere new. The hardest part is knowing which one to ask first.
How do we start an interesting conversation when we want to go deeper than the weather?

Posture
Curiosity begins with posture. What do we want to see? It may require a shift in perspective?
We can lean into possibility…or out. But understand, it’s a choice.

Quitting
The decision to stop is rarely obvious. Our tolerance for discomfort, fear, lack of resources, new information and even safety is highly conditional and emotional, which is precisely the reason to decide when to quit in advance whenever possible.
We’ll stop this project when…(list all of the reasons here, before the project has begun).
Quitting isn’t failure, especially if it’s part of the strategy.

Pressure
Pressure free is a bit overrated. Most of us perform better under some sort of load. Too much of course isn’t a good operating condition. But, not enough is almost as problematic as too much.
The right amount of tension helps decision making, performance and discovery. Nothing great ever came from a completely stress free environment.
Where can we add some pressure to move things along towards a better outcome?

History
Recording our cultural fabric is a unique part of being human. Good, bad or indifferent…it’s probably worth passing along. Then, we get to decide what to do with it.

Do More Good
It really all comes down to this.
What’s good?
Everything which isn’t bad.

Journal
The tools are less important than the act.
What will we seek to find today? What can we uncover, discover, stumble upon?
We can let it happen…or make it happen. It’s up to us.
