Restrained
Most of the time, it pays to give something or someone some freedom and room to grow. But on occasion, the contrary might be in order. When is it helpful to restrain, perhaps even ourselves, to make things better? Moments of high emotion come to mind, especially anger. How about for you?

Badges
Identity goes beyond what we say and how we act. Everything we use, surround ourselves with, honor and promote says something about us. Our badges tell a story about what we care about and hold the most dear.
Practically every choice we make becomes part of our persona. And, the ones most visible tell our story the loudest.
What are some of your most visible identifiers? Which ones would you like to change?

Being Seen
We do a lot just to get noticed. But in the end, how we show up is really important. What impression are we making? What story do we hope people are telling about us?
Big leaps certainly count. But, so do the small steps, especially when no one is looking.

Seasoned
Seasoning, much like experience, wisdom and advice, typically gets better with time.
It’s helpful to reflect on what parts of our make-up need more seasoning and time. What can we get better at with more practice and experience?

Simple
…is often the most beautiful.
How can we simplify? Which lens, perspective, environment, team, friend, project can we choose to see things more simply, more beautifully?

Lens
Every lens brings us some sort of clarity. But, it also leaves something out of focus, less or misunderstood. The key then is to alter how we see things by changing our perspective, or the lens altogether.
Think of a problem you’re facing today. How might changing the lens help?

Spec
Meeting expectation is more straightforward when we’re specific about the outcome. The constraint of exactness however is there’s virtually no wiggle room for making it better.
Unexpected delight is best achieved with different, not precise.
