Buddy
Friendship is special, sacred even. And, it’s even more meaningful when we express how much it means.
How can we express our gratitude to those who serve us with their time, attention and care?

Dated
Modern today likely won’t be a year or two from now. Therefore, timeless is rarely an effective design strategy. But, our art, the emotional labor of how we behave and treat others doesn’t have the same boundaries. Generous a century ago was relatively the same as it is today. Hospitality hasn’t changed much.
How we make someone feel knows no clock. The only on/off switch is the one we choose to flip.

Intriguing
What catches our eye? What’s worth stopping for?
First, we have to open our posture to notice. Then, we have a chance to dive in. The alternative is to live in a blur…seems like a waste.
What’s there today which we didn’t notice yesterday? Seek it out with intention. The results may be intriguing.

Lift
One of the most generous acts we can undertake is to help restore someone’s confidence and the ability to perform at a higher level, especially after a failure or hard stretch.
What can we do today to serve someone in this way? It doesn’t need to be grand to be effective.

Crowded
Some of us spend a lifetime trying to create something which attracts them. But, most if us don’t want to be stuck in one.
It’s hard to have one without the other. Crowd worthy comes with well, a crowd. Choose wisely.

Followers
It can be a worthwhile endeavor to do something which attracts followers. And often, the more the merrier. But out in the wild (especially in the digital wild), not everyone shows up with good intentions. It seems the key then is to choose a path which serves those which are aligned with us, those we can trust. The trade-off with this approach (and there’s always a trade-off), is there will almost certainly be less of them. And, finding the few specific will likely be more challenging than simply casting a net to capture many.
Choosing where to go and who to go with matters. Who chooses us might matter even more. The company we keep defines us, sometimes more than we think.

First
The nice thing about being first, other than perhaps originality, is being the only. We can work hard to be the first. But, it probably won’t last. A better strategy then might be to craft for uniqueness and indispensability, making it really hard to create the next one.
