Lost

Most of our lives are prescribed. We follow a course, timeline, directions and expectations. Veering off isn’t an option. But sometimes, getting lost leads to wonderful discoveries. What happens if we turn off the maps and do it with intention? Set out somewhere (by foot, car, bicycle, etc.), perhaps a place you know. Then, for an hour, don’t use any form of navigational aid. See where it takes you. Stop often, pause, really see it, smell it, hear it. Journal what peaks your interest. Revisit your record in a year or two.

Go get lost every now and then.
