Crossing

The decision is fairly straightforward if there’s only one way across, go or don’t. But, decisions are rarely this simple. They’re mired in opinion, understanding, compromises, fact and fiction. The story we tell ourselves about what will happen is rarely accurate. Most decisions are experiments, without the benefit of certainty. We can hope for an outcome and work towards it. But, rarely is the crossing going to go exactly as planned.
