Modeling

Models tell us a story…about ourselves. Sometimes, they represent our dreams. Sometimes, they serve as reminders of courage, craftsmanship or hardship. They speak to us about desire, possibility, joy and maybe hope. They’re symbolic of how we wish to be seen.

Models are different than toys. Toys often fall into the category of make believe. There’s more fantasy built into a toy. And, as we use them, they bring us great joy. Models, on the other hand, are to be admired from afar, thought about, wondered about and figured out…not used. Joy is extracted through the theatre which plays out in our mind.

Which models do we surround ourselves with? What do they say about us? Which ones are missing? How can we use them to inspire action?
