Engineering

The blades themselves don’t do much work. But, together and once set in motion, they’re quite effective.

It’s usually the sum of the parts which makes an organism, team or organization impactful. Add harmony and balance, and the results can be quite remarkable.

The engineering decisions, which parts to use and how they fit together, can make or break the project. The same goes for people. In this way, leadership is another form of engineering. Except, unlike a fan blade, people have feelings to consider. And, this requires a different dimension of skills…real skills.
