One of the unique characteristics of analog is the lack of immediacy. We don’t know if it worked until the process is completed. There’s no checking it along the way. We’re forced to wait. This constraint pushes us to put more effort, care and attention into the front-end and the process itself because a few keystrokes won’t bail us out. And, once it’s done, it’s done. How can we trick ourselves into thinking about design, teams and processes in more of an analog fashion? How can we apply more care to the development phase? How can we make it better?
