The short-term, what’s right in front of us feels certain. It feels safe. It’s why most of our attention is devoted here, dealing with the urgent, visible issues and decisions. The goal here is to manage the status quo…keep things on track. But, if our desire is to lead change, to bend the culture, to make things better, we need to think long-term and venture into the unknown…and uncertain. The path to better is risky. But, it’s also the most interesting.
