Copy

Copying has many forms and purposes. There’s the copying the answer from our neighbor’s test. And, wearing the clothes of an artist we admire. But there’s a different kind. The kind which requires skill, practice, determination and grit. We start with an idea, assertion or object and then add something. We put our own spin, modify it and make it our unique thing. Austin Kleon’s wonderful book, Steal Like an Artist explains this wonderfully.
