When should we start? When should we stop? When’s the deadline? How long should we go? What’s the alarm clock for?
A chosen point in time, our time, is a placeholder. It’s our signal for action. And, each brings its own tension, some more than others. Too often, we stress over these moments because most of them are attached to things we must do, maybe even things we don’t want to do. What if we added some time signposts for things which made us feel better? What if the alarm was welcomed? What if we scheduled a break, time to show gratitude, time for play, time to call a friend, time to read, time for silence? Maybe it’s time to turn the tables on time.
