All the cars look nearly the same when viewed from 20,000 feet above. People are the same when seen from a distance or experienced in cultural, social and ethnic groups and communities. Our behaviors aren’t very different…until we’re alone. Isolated and up close, when we can engage with and compare one person or thing to another, the differences become apparent. Individualism and uniqueness are solo acts. And the best way to see them is to get up close. Find a way to get closer, to connect with just one, to appreciate the differences…then repeat.
