Spooled properly, a line maintains order, which is what allows it to be used in an efficient manner. We know what to expect when it comes off the spool. But, a prerequisite is the line must be spooled properly when it’s taken in. Otherwise, the order is lost, which hampers the use later. How often have we lost the order and efficiency through lack of planning and care? How often have we failed to spool our time, training and practice properly?
