No one really knows why they’re the same, simply inverted. One theory suggests it might simply have been easier to make them similar. Association is a useful tool for us. It makes things more straightforward to process and to store. It reduces clutter if you will. Why create something uniquely new? Of course, this presents its own set of problems.
