…or cheap? It depends. It depends on our time and place in the world. And for some things (most things actually), the price is part of the story, the one we tell ourselves how important this thing is to change our status in the world we choose to belong to. Changing our outlook on status will change what we choose to surround ourselves with…and what we’re willing to pay for something.
